Vladimir Gusakov confirmed the intention to collaborate as equal partners with colleagues from the United States. Chairman of the Presidium noted that scientists of the two countries had already successfully implemented joint projects - in 2013 8 joint projects and in 2014 5 projects were implemented. This year a number of projects, particularly in the field of laser physics, materials, recycling, biotechnology, projects in the scope of the Botanical Garden and others, are being implemented.
Senior Vice-President, National Association of College and University Business Officers, Matthew Hamill expressed the willingness and interest of the American side in extending cooperation with Belarusian scientific organizations. Especially the American side is interested in the development of mechanisms for implementation of research into practice, in the real economy.
Also today the delegation visited the Museum of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the NASB exhibition "Achievements of national science applied for production" and are to visit the institutes of the NAS of Belarus, as well as the State Committee on Science and Technology, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Belarusian State University.
On December 15-16 the Belarus-US Scientific Workshop will be held.
