On April 13, 2016 a meeting of the Chairman of NASB Presidium Vladimir Gusakov with academicians was held in the run-up to the session of the General Meeting of the NAS of Belarus, which is scheduled for April 22, 2016. During the meeting possible amendments to the Statute of the National Academy of Sciences, as well as the issues of next elections of corresponding members and full members (academicians) were discussed. Special attention has been paid to the problem of rejuvenation of the staff of the Academy of Sciences, the peculiarities of the director work at scientific institutions, in particular, the age limit for the employment of such a position. In addition, they discussed the problem of finding a new subject for institute research laboratories, exports of high technology products, labor motivation of scientists, filling state programs.
