On the 6th of May the First International Scientific Congress of Belarusian Culture which brought together more than 330 scientists from 11 countries completes the work. Among the participants 65 scientists are from other countries: Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland, the USA, Great Britain, Slovenia, Austria, Vietnam and China. The Congress was intended to raise the level of scientific discussion of the problems of Belarusian culture development, the preservation of national cultural heritage, language, literature and art in the context of globalization. Scientists discussed the development and functioning of the Belarusian language in the context of bilingualism, the problems of Belarusian architecture and design, fine and decorative arts, monumental art, cinematographic and video arts, musical art, theater, literature, historical and cultural heritage and many other problems of the Belarusian culture. The organizers of large-scale event are the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus; State Scientific Institution "The Center for Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Research of the National Academy of Science of Belarus" and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus.
