On May 27, 2016 at a meeting of the NASB Presidium the Chairman of the NASB Presidium Vladimir Gusakov presented diplomas to employees of the NAS of Belarus organizations, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus prizes laureates of 2015. The prizes are awarded for outstanding scientific results obtained in the course of joint research by two groups of authors.

In the field of natural sciences a team of Russian and Belarusian scientists is awarded the prize for the work "Multienzyme Cascade Conversion of Carbohydrates into Nucleosides: New Strategy of Biologically Important Nucleoside Synthesis".

In the field of technical sciences a team of Russian and Belarusian scientists is awarded the prize for the series of works "Materials and Membranous Heterostructures for Spintronics and Magnonics Devices".

The NAS of Belarus and the RAS prizes are awarded for outstanding scientific results of great scientific and practical importance which are obtained in the course of joint researches. The event takes place once in three years. Russian and Belarusian scientists who are citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus and work in research institutions of the RAS and the NAS of Belarus may compete for the prizes. The group of authers whose work is nominated for the competition should not exceed three persons on each side. The prize is $10,000.
