In accordance with the NASB Presidium Decree No. 53 dated October 11, 2016, Sergey V. Ablameyko has been awarded "for the outstanding contribution to the development of theory and methods of processing and recognition of images and principles of construction of the automated systems of processing graphics data, for many years of fruitful scientific, organizational and pedagogical activities".
During the ceremony the Chairman of the NASB Presidium V.G. Gusakov emphasized the great contribution of the Academician S.V. Ablameyko to the advancement of national science and wished to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation of scientists of the NAS of Belarus and the Belarusian State University. In turn, S.V. Ablameyko emphasized the major role of the NASB in his formation as a scientist and a citizen.
