On January 16, 2017 an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) was signed during the visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Egypt. The document was signed by the Chairman of the NASB Presidium Vladimir Gusakov and the President of the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology Prof. Mahmoud Sakr. The agreement provides for enhanced cooperation between the academic institutions to solve scientific issues of mutual interest.
