In accordance with the agreement between the NASB Center for Belarusian Culture, Language, and Literature Research and the Minsk Regional Institute for Education Development, a seminar on topical issues of Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics terminological systems will be held in order to enhance and improve the work on streamlining the Belarusian scientific terminology. This is the first meeting of the developers of the Belarusian scientific terminology and its direct users. The meeting is a module of the cluster "International School of the Belarusian Language and Literature" created at the NAS of Belarus. Teachers will have an opportunity to get acquainted with modern terminological dictionaries, to ask questions and discuss problems of teaching Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics in the Belarusian language, to express their thoughts and views on implementation of terminological systems, presented in textbooks and manuals, in teaching practice. Peculiarities of adaptation of foreign-language terms in modern communicative sphere of Belarus will be of particular attention.
Leading experts in the field of scientific terminology, methodologists, and scientists representing the Department of Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics of the NAS of Belarus have been invited to take part in the seminar.
