Within the framework of the 21st International specialized exhibition "Mass Media in Belarus", the Format of Scientific PR barcamp will be held at the address 14 praspiekt Pieramožcaŭ, Minsk, on 5 May 2017, at 2:00 p.m. At the event, the following issues will be discussed:
• formats and principles of scientific communications;
• alternative for media: direct or mediated (through the press service) contact with scientists;
• aspects of scientific communications - a new reality (exchange of experience).
Journalists working with scientists, representatives of press services, content managers of websites of scientific institutes and universities, editors of scientific sites and individual projects, and young scientists are invited to establish contacts, exchange their experience, best practices and knowledge to the event. There are two participation forms, namely as a speaker presenting his/her idea, project or initiative (3-5 minutes) or a listener.
Dmitry Malkov, Director of the Center for Scientific Communication of the Department for Strategic Communications of the St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics, is a barcamp guest.

On May 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. the Science and Innovations journal invites to a scientific and practical seminar on research promotion in universities or scientific institutes through working with the media and using other non-academic channels. The seminar will be held at the NASB Institute of History (1 vul. Akademičnaja, room 223). Dmitry Malkov will make a report there.
