As a part of the conference, the 1st Congress of Microbiologists of Belarus will start its work in the Great Conference Hall of the "Belarus" Hotel on 7 June 2017 at 9:00 a.m. This will be a landmark event for the national microbiology, which is to bring together leading scientists and specialists from specialized research institutions, higher educational institutions, and industrial enterprises from different parts of the country. The participants will discuss the current state of microbiological science in the Republic of Belarus and its positions in the international arena, identify the most promising areas of development of fundamental and applied microbiology, consolidate efforts and establish effective interaction in order to solve important scientific and state problems in the sphere. Representatives of the Presidium of the Interregional Russian Microbiological Society and the Latvian Society of Microbiologists will take part in the Congress in order to share their experience, discuss the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation of microbiological societies and stimulate integration processes for the progressive development and popularization of microbiology in Eastern and Northern Europe.
The round table "Microbiome (Microbiota) of a Human Being: Norm and Pathology" will start in the Conference Hall of the NASB Institute of Microbiology (vul. Kupreviča 2) on 7 June 2017 at 3:00 p.m. It will be devoted to current issues of the human microbiota research, mechanisms of its interaction with the host organism, its role in maintaining the health and development of diseases, as well as to methods for microecological disorders correction.
The meeting of the Eastern Palaearctic Regional Section of the International Organization for the Biological Control will be held in the Conference Hall of the NASB Institute of Microbiology on 8 June 2016 at 10:00 a.m. The current trends in increasing the efficiency and greening of agricultural production through the development and application of highly effective biological plants protection products will be reported there.
On 6–7 June 2017, an exhibition of domestic and foreign biotechnological products will be held in the lobby of the "Belarus" Hotel. It aims at presenting the latest world-class developments for agriculture, industry, ecology, health, and other spheres.
