30 August 2017, a press conference on key areas of biotechnology development in Belarus, new products and their application took place at BelTA's press center. The event was attended by Emilia Kolomiyets, Director General of the R&D group Chemical Synthesis and Biotechnologies, Director of the Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Valentina Lemesh, Director of the Institute of Genetics and Cytology at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and Natalya Pshybytko, deputy director for science and innovations of the Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering at the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences. Heads of NASB organizations told representatives of the media about the work of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in biotechnology and about new scientific developments in this field.
