Third Zeldovich meeting held in Minsk

On 23-27 April 2018, an international conference on astrophysics, dedicated to Yakov Borisovich Zeldovich, a native of Belarus, the founder of the Russian school of relativistic astrophysics, the creator of the Soviet atomic bomb and the developer of the famous Katyusha, is held at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The conference brought together leading scientists from different countries, namely Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Italy, China, Colombia, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Taiwan, Ukraine, Croatia, and Estonia.

The conference is organized by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, ICRANet international organizations, the Central European Initiative. For the first time in Belarus, such international collaborations as the world's largest Pierre Auger Observatory (Pierre Auger, Argentina); the H.E.S.S. Observatory (Namibia); the RadioAstron Space Observatory (Russia); Master Global Robotic Net (Russia); and the future Gamma-400 Space Mission participate in the conference.

Within the framework of the conference, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Institute of Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences signed a protocol of intent.

The conference is held in Belarus for the third time, and this makes our country a center of attraction for astrophysicists from all over the world.
