The NASB Institute of Genetics and Cytology has hosted the forum since 2008. The Zhebrak Readings are dedicated to the most urgent problems of genetics and are held in the format of a lecture by a famous foreign scientist.
This year, a lecture will be delivered by Atanas Atanasov, Academician of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Professor. He is a Honorary Member of the American Biographical Institute, a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, an international expert in the field of biosafety of genetically modified organisms. His report “Food for the Future” is devoted to the problems of providing food to the population of our planet in the 21st century.
The event is organized by the Institute of Genetics and Cytology of the NAS of Belarus together with the Belarusian Society of Geneticists and Breeders. It can be interesting for a wide range of professionals involved in food security and nutrition.
