NASB scientists invited to compete for Stars of Commonwealth Award for 2018

The CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation announced a competition for the Stars of the Commonwealth Award for 2018.

The Stars of the Commonwealth Award was established by the CIS Humanitarian Cooperation Council and the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation. It is awarded annually in recognition of the outstanding contributions and achievements in such areas as humanities, culture, art, education, science, archiving, information and mass communication, sports, tourism, and work with young people. The achievements should contribute to the rapprochement of the peoples of the CIS countries and the development of each of the CIS countries and the Commonwealth as a whole. The award is equal to 2 million Russian rubles and is not bestowed twice.

An individual scientist or a group of authors (no more than three people) may be nominated for the award. The papers required for the nomination are as follows:

  • a commendation list according to the form;
  • an autobiography outlining the person’s merit;
  • the works (including scientific, creative, artistic, methodical ones), for which the candidate is nominated for the award.
  • The documents (in electronic and paper form) of candidates from the NASB organizations are given by the NASB Departments to the Department of Prizes, Scholarships and Awards of the Main Personnel and Personnel Policy Department of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (rooms 317, 406) until November 15, 2018.
