The fifth student tournament of scientific prospects Sciteen-2019 will be held at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus

From 8 to 14 April 2019, the fifth student tournament of scientific prospects Sciteen-2019 will bring together in Minsk students and undergraduates of leading universities of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France to solve urgent problems in science and industry.

The Sciteen tournament is a unique team competition where students and undergraduates are invited to solve the current fundamental and applied problems of the world in science and industry at the intersection of physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, ecology, IT and more. Participants present their research on given topics to the public, discuss them in a fascinating debate with colleagues from other teams, universities and countries. The jury consists of scientists and teachers from the leading research institutes and universities of Belarus and other countries, as well as representatives of the partner companies of the event. The tournament Sciteen-2019 is actively supported by leading companies in the field of science and technology, including EPAM Systems, NatiVita, KAMPILAB, the Science Around Us Foundation and many others.

The Sciteen tournament is held by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus together with the Belarusian State University for the fifth time. More than 100 students from 20 universities of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France took part in the qualifying stage of the tournament, but only the best of them will arrive at the full-time stage of the competition, which will take place on 8-14 April.

Such a format of scientific interaction between generations has no analogues and benefits the development of the research potential of young people, and the topics discussed at the tournament perfectly demonstrate that science is in fact unlimited. Such topics as 3D printing of medicines, test tube meat, developing a platform for searching missing people, creating a bionic eye, Tesla for the mining industry, etc. will be among the tasks of the tournament.
