The Science and Innovations journal invites all interested to an open lecture by Igor Ivanov "Collider: in Search of New Physics." The lecture will cover the search for a new, deeper theory of the microworld structure, which is conventionally called New Physics and has become the main goal of elementary particle physics. The lecturer will acquaint the audience with the facts concerning the work of the Large Hadron Collider over previous 10 years. He will tell about new discoveries and dramas that accompanied the search for New Physics, as well as about the expectations of scientists in connection with the topic.
The lecturer: Igor Ivanov, Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics, a scientist in the field of elementary particle physics and theoretical physics, an employee of Instituto Superior Tecnico (Portugal).
Time and venue: 9 September 2019, at 12:00. The conference hall of B.I. Stepanov Institute of Physics.
