NAS of Belarus to present over 65 scientific and technical developments at EnergyExpo

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will present over 65 scientific and technical developments at the exhibition "Energy. Ecology. Energy Saving. Electro" (EnergyExpo), which will be held during the Belarusian Energy and Environmental Forum from October 8 to 11.

Instrument-making plant OPTRON of the NAS of Belarus will present a line of electric vehicles (electric scooters and an electric trike). The Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the NAS of Belarus will demonstrate the components of electric power plants: a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, an electric drive inverter, a basic battery module and a charger. The permanent magnet synchronous motor is designed for use in the power plant of a passenger electric vehicle. The electric drive inverter is intended to control the traction motor. The basic battery module is used to supply electric power to the traction electric drive and other on-board electric vehicle systems. The charger is designed to charge the traction battery.

Scientists from the Institute of Applied Physics of the NAS of Belarus have developed a system for monitoring metal structures on critical structures (including power system facilities). This system provides continuous monitoring of the state of load-bearing structures during their construction and operation.

The Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will present a comprehensive preparation BIOVIR at the exhibition. It is made for disinfection and purification of water in ponds and reservoirs. A highly effective and environmentally friendly preparation reduces the content of nutrients (mineral phosphorus, nitrate and ammonium nitrogen) by 2 times, the number of blue-green algae by 5-7 times, phytoplankton by 3 times; provides destruction of organic matter 1.5 times more active than in control ponds from organic and mineral contaminants. There are no domestic analogues of the preparation; in terms of effectiveness, it surpasses foreign analogues.

The 24th Belarusian Energy and Environmental Forum will be held in Minsk on October, 8-11. It includes international specialized exhibitions "Energy. Ecology. Energy Saving. Electro", "Oil & Gas Technologies", "Atomexpo-Belarus", "ExpoLight", "Water and Air Technologies", "ExpoCity" and the 24th Belarusian Energy and Environmental Congress. At the forum, participants will present modern equipment and technologies for the production and distribution of electric and thermal energy, automated systems, energy and resource saving technologies.
