Resistance of chromium steels, superficially alloyed by ions of nitrogen, to contact and fatigue failure. pp. 5--9

Summary: Analysis of structure and phase composition of chromium steels subjected to ion implantation with nitrogen is presented. The influence of structural state parameters of ion implanted layer on surface microhardness, wear resistance and fatigue properties was investigated. It has been demonstrated that properly selected parameters of nitrogen ion implantation effectively increase both wear resistance and fatigue strength of steels.

Influence of container material on phase BNg® BNc transformation in boron nitride of various purity. pp. 10--13

Summary: It is stated that impurities, which activate phase transformations, diffuse from container from litograph stone and are contained in technical boron nitride, f. i., magnesium, calcium, water, B2O3, cause deeper and quicker BNg® BNc transformation compared with containers from pyroxilit and purified BNg. It is shown that the purification of graphite-like boron nitride from impurities causes change of the phase transformation mechanism BNg® BNc (transformation with participation of activators of phase transformation and direct transformation without activators) and increases the main functional characteristics of BNc — microhardness and heat conduction.

Investigation of physics-mechanical properties of pastes with diamond micropowders metallized by copper. pp. 14--15

Summary: Physics-mechanical properties of pastes with diamond micropowders metallized by copper were investigated. It is shown that metallization by copper of diamond micropowders will bring to improvement of abrasive and polishing properties of pastes. The most considerable increase of physics-mechanical properties of pastes is visible at rise of the degree of metallization to 50%. New technological process of making metallized diamond paste ACH 5/3 Cu 50 POM for polishing of diamond has been worked out.

The new technology of zincing of steels in powder media. pp. 16--19

Summary: The traditionally used powder media for dry galvanizing are toxic, sintering-prone, do not present stable reuse outcomes. The application of dry galvanizing in a zinc powder media, that underwent hydrothermal preliminary treatment (HTT), preventing sintering of powder at high temperatures, allows to step up the process and to eliminate the above said disadvantages. The use of HTT powder media allows to receive high-quality diffusion coatings. Experimental research of the process of diffusion saturation in HTT mixtures was conducted.

Technological possibilities for increasing the tool life of cast die inserts. pp. 20--24

Summary: The possibilities and means for increasing the tool life of cast inserts for hot forging presses were found during some series of investigations and industrial tests. They were: additional steel alloying with small quantities of boron and nitrogen or vanadium, using low-phosphors ferroalloys and metal cast forms.

Deformation of three-layer metal-polymeric beam by point loads. pp. 25--29

Summary: Sandwich beam with compressible filler under action of uniformly distributed local loadings, point forces and moments is considered. Combined equations of equilibrium and its analytical solution via moving are obtained. Numerical research for sandwich metal-polymeric beam is adduced.

Reliability prediction of transmissions. pp. 30--34

Summary: The proposed method of reliability prediction of transmissions, their components and aggregates taking into account the interdependence correlation between failures of series connected elements is considered. The symmetrical matrix of pair correlation coefficients between reliability of distinct elements is employed. The stated coefficients are calculated on the base of considering of elements safety probability distribution on absence of main characteristics failure types. As on example the results of reliability prediction for intermediate shaft with gear wheels and bearings in assembly of truck axle reducer are drawn.

Work of radial thrust ball bearing under axial oscillations. pp. 35--38

Summary: Some problems of the calculation of parameters of the radial thrust ball bearing are examined. The influence of axial oscillations applied on one of the rings, the speed of torsion of the bead caused by oscillations and the intensity of wearing and tearing of the bodies of rolling are considered.

Movement of grinding bodies in a planetary mill with internal rolling. pp. 39--43

Summary: Movement of a single grinding body in a planetary mill with internal rolling has been analyzed. Change of a normal reaction for one revolution drove has been investigated. Condition of the grinding body tearing off rom the drum wall has been determined. The size of a normal reaction and periodicity of its change in planetary mills is much higher than that in usual drum mills. It should assist increase of grinding efficiency. Movement of the grinding body after tearing off has been identified. The combined solution of curvilinear trajectory equations and progressively moving circle has enabled to determine their crossing point coordinates. Using these coordinates it is possible to define the grinding body fall height and thus to estimate power expenses for grinding in planetary mills.

Summary: The mechanism of originating of internal stresses source and formation under load of macro localized plastic deformation is reviewed. The methods of an estimation of steels susceptibility to macro localization of plastic deformation are shown.

Dynamical analysis of a beam resting on an elastic foundation of Winkler's type. pp. 52--58

Summary: The dynamic calculation of a beam resting on an elastic foundation is presented, since this type of constructions is widely used in the building. But the development of technology increases the dynamic effects on the constructions, what requires an anti-vibratory protection. Therefore, the approach to the problem solution about the determination simultaneously of eigen frequencies, forms of natural fluctuations and the beam response to the dynamic load where the beam is resting on an elastic foundation of Winkler's type is proposed. The damping, foundation inertia, and also friction between the beam and the foundation are neglected. The proposed approach is based on the Zhemochkina's method, in which the beam length is divided in the equal sections and in the center of each section a stiffening joint is placed, through which the contact of beam with the foundation is achieved. The mass of each section of the beam is placed in the center of the section. The proposed approach is applied to a beam, discretized in ten masses whose results obtained are satisfactory.

Use of high-speed heat treatment methods for hardening of springs made of 50 KhGFA steel. pp. 59--66

Summary: The paper describes the investigation results concerning the possibility of using high-speed heat treatment methods for hardening of springs made of 50XGFA steel. The methods ensure obtaining increased mechanical and technological properties of the steel in comparison with conventional methods of processing. The fundamentally new technology and the equipment for its realization have been developed for heat treatment of spring leaves. It is based on the use of highfrequency heating of complex-alloying steels under oil layer. The new technology makes it possible to obtain a high-strength quenched layer 2.5 mm thick with a fine-grained structure and compressing residual stresses. This ensures together with a hardened core obtaining high performance characteristics of springs and the possibility of decreasing their mass. The technology permits excluding the formation of surface faults such as microcracking, scaling, etc., which decrease performance characteristics of parts.

Improvement of operational properties of friction pairs by forming of coatings with metal brushes. pp. 67--72

Summary: The results of experimental research are submitted according to serviceability of coverings put by rotating metal brushes. It is shown that two-layer coverings from consistently put layers of Cu and an antifrictional alloy on a basis Cu, Sn, Pb, Zn have the best serviceability in conditions of the limited greasing.

Modeling offeree interaction between elements of powder ferromagnetic media in magnetic field. pp. 73--77

Summary: The method is suggested for a mathematical description of a force interaction between the elements of a powder ferromagnetic medium represented as finite elements in a magnetic field. The foundation is made for calculating the electromagnetic forces acting on a body via a surface density at discontinuity surfaces.

RADIOELECTRONICS AND INSTRUMENT MAKING

The superpower gyrotron with piezoelectrical tuning of mirror cavity with traveling T-wave. pp. 78--81

Summary: It is shown that gyrotrons with mirror cavity on travelling T-wave have high efficiency: 35% in one- cascade devices and 60% in two- cascade devices. Their important feature is absence of a dynamic stratification of wide electron beam, that opens possibilities of substantial increase of power gyroresonant devices in extreme high frequencies band. The design of this gyrotrons allows to accomplish piezoelectrical tuning of the mirror cavity. This tuning is 5% for the example shown.

Calculation of electric fields of imposing measuring capacitance transducers in orthotropic environments. pp. 82--86

Summary: This article deals with calculation of electric field and capacitance transducer to study anisotropic structure of dielectric properties of flat polymeric materials. Field and capacitance transducer analysis is given, the material thickness being less than transducer geometrical measurements.

Optimization of compound transducer parameters at testing of nonmagnetic coatings on ferromagnetic base. pp. 87--91

Summary: The numerical accounts results of influence of the non-uniform primary field source (transducer) geometry on the z-component magnitude of (he secondary magnetic field induced by product under test (ferromagnetic with nonmagnetic coating) are given. The transducer represents a cylindrical permanent magnet, to which bottom part a coaxial ferromagnetic cylinder adjoins closely, on the Same axis there a centre of ferromagnetic ball is located. At accounts the method of the boundary integral equations was used, magnetization curves for product under test and ferromagnetic details of the transducer were taken from tables.

Summary: The new 2D-digitiser constraction principle of electromagnetic type is presented. The principle is based on usage of the inductional measurent system with space-cencentrated elements. Analytical explaination of the principle and a structure scheme variant of its practical realization is given.

Synthesis, of angle servosystem at limitation of the tracking velocity of object. pp. 112--115

Summary: The materials of this article are devoted to the matters of the optimal tracking system synthesis by its direction. According to the minimum dispersion error the integral limitation of the rotating velocity of the servosystem device were included into the criteria of the synthesis. In the current example the transfer functions of the open-loop system of tracking by its direction have been obtained.

POWER ENGINEERING, HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER

Determination of water consumption for various coolants of the water supply system at large power units of NPP. pp. 116--120

Summary: The necessary amount of water for operation of NPP power unit with the capacity of 1000 MW has been determined under various coolants of the water supply system for Belarus conditions. It is shown that under NPP operation with an evaporating cooling tower the make up is necessary with water of 24.4 mln m3 per year. And under operation with a dry cooling tower it is 1.82 mln m3 per year.

Transuranium elements in the main components of ecosystems of Perstok lake. pp. 121--123

Summary: The results on levels of radioactive contamination by plutonium and americium of main components of Perstok Lake are presented. Transuranium elements in the water ecosystem exist in sediments, colloidal solution and in the real solution state. Am(III) is main chemical form of americium in water ecosystem. Plutonium exist in the oxidized and the reduction forms. The reduction forms of plutonium is predominate form in the solid state. In solution plutonium exists as oxidized forms.
