The Minsk City Hall has opened the exhibition Journey to the Past: the Latest Artifacts from the Archaeological Complex on the Mienka River, organized by the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus and the Minsk City History Museum. The exhibition presents more than 100 unique artifacts of the IX–XII centuries, including fragments of ceramic pots and trade seals with princely signs of the Polack dynasty representatives. A separate place is given to the finds from the jewelry workshop complex, which was discovered in the second village: matrices, blanks for creating jewelry, a special jeweler's tool.

In order to fulfill the order of the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko of 08.12.2022 No. 34/540-369/13222p the NAS of Belarus, the Institute of History, the Minsk District Executive Committee and the Ministry of Education are implementing an action plan for the development concept implementation of the archaeological complex on the Mienka River. The complex occupies the interfluve of the Mienka River and the Dunaj Stream and includes large and small fortified with earthen defensive ramparts hillforts and unfortified settlements. The monuments geographically belong to the modern village of Garadzishcha, Minsk district, ten kilometers west of the capital of Belarus. The field archaeological season of 2023 began in April with an instrumental study of the first settlement and continued in the summer with full-fledged archaeological excavations. Two digs with a total area of 220 square meter were made on the first settlement, and two digs with an area of 104 square meter were also made on the second. To date, over 300 individual finds and more than 5,000 mass finds, mainly ceramic artifacts have been discovered during excavations.

The excavations led by scientists and archaeologists from the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus are attended by university students of the country, as well as volunteers from other educational institutions.
