New book of the "The People's Chronicle of the Great Patriotic War: Let's Remember Everyone" has about 400 pages

The presentation of the 3rd book of the serial edition "People's Chronicle of the Great Patriotic War: Let's Remember Everyone!" took place in the NAS of Belarus. The event was attended by the leadership of the NAS of Belarus, including authors of articles, well-known scientists of the country, directors of institutes, political and public figures, veterans, youth.

"These books contain the materials from the residents of Belarus themselves. They send the remaining certificates of their relatives or acquaintances, information about awards, memories of their fellow countrymen and loved ones. This major campaign is very important and in demand, because these books are used for scientific research, broad information of the people, including patriotic education of the younger generation. This series of books is not limited in time. As the materials accumulate, we will issue new editions. This is very important for our country, because Belarus suffered greatly during the Great Patriotic War, and, of course, there was a genocide of the Belarusian people at that time," Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov stressed at the presentation.

ДDirector of the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus Vadim Lakiza noted that the task of historians is to convey new information about the events of the Great Patriotic War to Belarusians as widely as possible. He called on all residents of the country to send photographs and documentary evidence about the events of the Great Patriotic War to the Institute of History.

The third book, prepared by scientists of the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus within the framework of the All-Belarusian campaign National Chronicle of the Great Patriotic War: Let's Remember Everyone!, initiated by the NAS of Belarus, is an example of practical work to perpetuate the victors in the Great Patriotic War. The publication contains about 400 pages of memoirs, copies of documents, photographs of personal unique objects, biographies of specific people, research papers of schoolchildren, students and already mature scientists. The Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus receives new documentary materials from family archives, schools, museum institutions, people's memories of their relatives and friends, fellow countrymen and acquaintances – participants of the Great Patriotic War, partisans and underground workers, home front workers and just those who experienced all the horrors of the long-term occupation.
