The event was organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Beijing Pedagogical University and the Zhuhai City Administration to discuss current state and prospects of development of the Belarusian-Chinese scientific, technical, humanitarian, trade and economic cooperation in the context of the implementation of the global «One Belt, One Road» initiative.
Over 150 representatives of scientific organizations, institutions of higher education, government bodies, the diplomatic corps and the media of the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Republic of China attended the forum.
Petr Kazakevich, Vice Chairman of the NASB Presidium, welcomed the forum participants. In his speech, he stressed that the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, being the highest scientific organization of the Republic of Belarus and a scientific production corporation, which exported products to 40 countries, attached particular importance to cooperation in science with the People’s Republic of China, and commended the development of new scientific traditions in relationship with Chinese academic organizations.
At the scientific forum, six plenary meetings were organized. The scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus presented thematic reports and key scientific developments of native academic organizations there.
As part of the Third Belarusian-Chinese Scientific Forum on Humanitarian Exchanges and Business Cooperation «One Belt, One Road» and Chinese-Belarusian cooperation: New Development and New Prospects», working meetings of the heads of the NASB scientific organizations and the leaders of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing Pedagogical University, Yulin Pedagogical University, Zhuhai City Administration, All-China Association for the Study of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Global Company on Blockchain and Internet of Things Technologies Development, Shanghai Incubator Park, Lianji Smart Technology Company (Shanghai) were held.
During the visit of the NASB delegation to the People’s Republic of China, Vice Chairman of the NASB Presidium Petr Kazakevich, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Li Peilin, and leadership representatives of scientific organizations of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences held talks in expanded format.
