On December 8, 2023, the National Library of Belarus hosted an official awarding ceremony of the Union State Prize in the field of science and technology (dedicated to the 24th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State).
The Prize was awarded to a team of scientists for the development of innovative genogeographic and genomic technologies for identification of personality and individual characteristics of a person based on the study of the gene pools of the regions of the Union State.
Among the laureates are scientists of the NAS of Belarus Alexander Kilchevsky, Irma Mosse, Svetlana Kotova, as well as Russian scientists Nikolai Yankovsky, Svetlana Borinskaya, Vadim Stepanov.
