Visit of the delegation of the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina headed by the President of the entity Milorad Dodik

On February 19, 2024, a delegation of the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina headed by the President of the entity Milorad Dodik visited the NAS of Belarus.

The guests got acquainted in detail with the latest developments of scientists, which are presented at the permanent exhibition Achievements of National Science for Production. Vladimir Gusakov told the President of the Republika Srpska about developments in the fields of medicine, agriculture, microelectronics, cosmonautics and others. The Head of the NAS expressed readiness to cooperate with the Republika Srpska in the field of mechanical engineering.

Negotiations were held at which the parties discussed promising areas and mechanisms of interaction between the organizations of the NAS of Belarus and the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Vladimir Gusakov told the delegation about the main activities of the NAS, as well as the experience of working with foreign partners. Milorad Dodik thanked the National Academy of Sciences for familiarizing himself with the activities of the institution and noted that Belarus had managed to preserve and develop the scientific field in the country. "It is important to link science and practice. Today I saw this on the example of the NAS of Belarus. It is also necessary to be self-sufficient and open to everyone," he noted. The President expressed his desire and willingness to develop cooperation with the NAS of Belarus.

On behalf of the delegation, President of the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik left an inscription in the Book of Honored Guests.

Milorad Dodik was on a working visit to Belarus from February 17 to 19. The agenda was full and included a number of meetings and negotiations. The focus of the visit was on the development of bilateral trade relations, increasing cooperation in the fields of industry, healthcare, science and education, and expanding the bilateral legal framework.
