On March 11, 2025, a meeting of the National Commission for the consideration of candidates nominated for grants from the President of the Republic of Belarus in science, education, healthcare, culture, and youth policy was held at the NAS of Belarus under the management of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Karanik. At the meeting of the commission, reports of grant recipients were considered on the results of scientific research for which grants of the President of the Republic of Belarus were provided in 2024. Particular attention was paid to the practical significance and effectiveness of the results of scientific research and projects carried out with grant support. The event also analyzed the effectiveness of this measure of state labor incentives.
The meeting of the commission was timed to include a presentation exhibition on the protection of reports on the results of scientific research (innovation projects), youth projects, for the implementation of which grants were provided by the President of the Republic of Belarus in science, education, healthcare, culture, youth policy for 2024.
In 2024, grants from the President of the Republic of Belarus were provided for the tenth time to heads and specialists of organizations operating in science, education, healthcare, culture, and who have made a significant contribution to the development of the relevant industry. For 2024, grants from the President of the Republic of Belarus were assigned to 58 specialists. The allocated grants were intended to conduct research and development in various fields of science, to develop modern methods, teaching aids, and electronic teaching aids to improve the quality of education for pupils and students. They are also aimed at creating new methods and medical technologies for treating patients, diagnosing diseases; implementing creative projects in musical and theatrical art, museum expositions and exhibitions. The grants are also intended to implement youth projects aimed at patriotic education, studying historical heritage, involving young people in public activities, and increasing their civic activity.
Most of the projects have already been implemented in the real sector of the economy. Individual research results will be developed in the implementation of new tasks of state scientific and technical programs.
