The meeting considered results of scientific research, both fundamental and applied, their application in practice, promising areas of cooperation between organizations of the NAS of Belarus and the Ministry. Experts discussed issues of carrying out environmental monitoring, conducting flora and fauna inventories. The problems of land degradation and desertification and of research in the Antarctic were also the focus of the meeting.
