On March 21-23, 2016 at the invitation of the Polish Academy of Sciences a delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus headed by the Chairman of the Presidium, the Academician Vladimir Gusakov is visiting Warsaw. The purpose of the visit is to negotiate future directions and mechanisms of expansion of the Belarusian-Polish scientific and technical cooperation, as well as to participate in the International Conference "Polish-Belarusian Research Cooperation in Humanities" on March 22, 2016. The NAS of Belarus delegation includes leadership of the Department of Humanities and Arts, heads of scientific organizations and famous scientists in the Humanities.

At the joint forum Belarusian and Polish scientists will present their reports on the most topical issues in the Humanities and also will outline topics for realizing joint projects. In particular, the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus and the Polish Academy of Sciences are planning joint researches on such issues as "Dialogue of Religions in Religious Culture of the Belarusian-Polish border zone: Historical Analysis," "Political, Judicial, Social and Economic Reforms in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 16-18 centuries","Poland and Belarus in the World War II"and others.

Negotiations between the President of PAS Jerzy Duszy?ski and the President of the NASB Presidium Vladimir Gusakov are planned on March 22, 2016. At the negotiations current state of cooperation between the parties will be discussed in detail and possible measures to intensify the bilateral cooperation between the Academies of Sciences of Belarus and Poland will be determined.

It is expected that the NAS of Belarus delegation will visit a number of scientific organizations of the Polish Academy of Sciences and will discuss perspective directions of joint research.
