The lecture "Secrets of Successful Scientific Publications and Teams" will be held on November 1, 2016 at 1.30 p.m. at the Physics Department of the Belarusian State University (Babrujskaja vul. 5, room. 220). This thematic event will be held in the panel discussion format. It will be attended by two prominent Belarusian scientists, namely the Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Gaponenko and Grand PhD in Chemical Sciences, Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus in the field of science and technology Mikhail Artemyev.

Guests of the meeting will share their secrets of successful doing scientific documentation. In particular, the researchers will tell the student audience about the Hirsch index, impact factor and other scientific indicators. They will report about requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of our country for scientific publications and specific publisher conditions in various printed editions. Selection of a currently important research topic, as well as formation of scientific trends and other aspects of scientific marketing will be also considered by the lecturers. It should be noted that the h-index of Sergei Gaponenko is equal to 31, and a reputable BSU scholar Mikhail Artemyev was at the head of the rankings as the most cited chemist of Belarus (h-index of 38) two years ago.
