On December 21, 2016 the first meeting of the Republican Organizing Committee on preparation and holding the Belarusian Science Day in 2017 and Republican Meeting of the scientific community dedicated to the feast took place at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The event was attended by the NASB leadership, representatives of ministries and departments of the country. The Organizing Committee discussed in detail the Plan of measures on preparation and holding the Belarusian Science Day, organizational and financial issues.

The Republican Meeting of the scientific community will be held on January 27, 2017 at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The best scientists and researchers in the country will receive awards.

The winners of the "TOP 10" results of scientists’ work in the field of fundamental and applied research in 2016 will be awarded from the National Academy of Sciences. There also will be an exhibition of achievements and the most significant results of scientific and technical and innovation activity in the Republic of Belarus.
