In September 2016, an agreement on establishing the Belarusian-Chinese Analytical Center of Development was signed in the presence of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the President of China Xi Jinping in Beijing. In accordance with the agreement, this organization carries out expert and analytical support of the work of the Belarusian-Chinese intergovernmental committee on cooperation, interacts with the expert community and the business community of the People's Republic of China on the development of cooperation with Belarus. Advising public authorities and organizations, enterprises and companies of the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China on bilateral cooperation issues is also one of the Center’s tasks. In addition, promising areas of bilateral economic cooperation between Belarus and the People's Republic of China are being developed, concepts of pilot projects of such cooperation and expert support for their implementation are being prepared, etc. The Center also organizes and participates in scientific conferences, round table discussions, seminars, teleconference bridges and video conferences on various subjects of bilateral cooperation.
