State Cadastre of Animals developed by NASB Scientific and Practical Center for Bioresources

The staff of the NASB Scientific and Practical Center for Bioresources has developed an information resource “State Cadastre of Animals”, which is a systematized set of information on the geographical distribution of wildlife species related to objects of fisheries, hunting, and procurement and/or storage. It contains information on the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of these wildlife objects, the use of their resources, and other information necessary to ensure their sustainable use.

The information resource has been developed within the framework of the project "Development of Electronic Databases of Flora and Fauna Cadastres with a Web Interface." It has been implemented with the support of UNDP. Its implementation has been funded by the Global Environment Facility.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus is a national executing agency of the project.
