On 27 – 30 May 2018, a delegation of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, headed by its President Julian Revalski, is visiting the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The Bulgarian delegation arrived at the invitation of the NASB leadership. This is the first visit of the head of the leading scientific organization of Bulgaria to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. It aims at visiting the NASB organizations, familiarizing with their activities, discussing perspective directions and mechanisms for development of cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

On 28 May 2018, BAS President Julian Revalski held talks with the leadership of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, got acquainted with the exposition of the Museum of NASB History and the permanent exhibition "Native Science Achievements - to Production." The members of the Bulgarian delegation will visit the the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the NAS of Belarus, the SSPA "Scientific and Practical Materials Research Centre of the NAS of Belarus", the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus, the Institute of Mathematics of the NAS of Belarus, the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus, and the NASB Geoinformation Systems Unitary Enterprise.

As a result of the visit, an updated Agreement on Cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is planned to be signed.
