A modern SKIF-GEO-CDP supercomputer of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus entered the TOP 50 computing systems in the CIS. It was developed as part of the program of the Belarusian-Russian Union State SKIF-NEDRA. The Research Computing Center of Moscow State University and the Interdepartmental Supercomputer Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences arranged the rating.

According to the rating results, the SKIF-GEO-CDP supercomputer of the NASB UIIP ranks 37. The supercomputer is characterized by high performance, it is a worthy result of fruitful work of Russian and Belarusian specialists working on the SKIF-NEDRA project for the third consecutive year.

As Deputy Director General of the NASB United Institute of Informatics Problems Sergei Kruglikov said, «the SKIF-NEDRA R&D program of the Union State of Belarus and Russia has a clearly expressed industry specialization and is not initially aimed at setting any records in terms of the performance of computing tools. However, the correctly chosen components and technological layout of the supercomputer allowed us to enter the elite of the CIS supercomputers in spite of relatively small number of computing nodes».
