Vladimir Gusakov told the journalists about the foundation and development of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and also about some modern achievements of the NASB organizations, the staff of the Academy and its scientific potential.
Nikolai Kazak spoke about the developments of Belarusian physicists in the field of semiconductors, lasers, photodiodes, metamaterials, growing heterogeneous structures. He also touched upon the issues of international cooperation and new directions of work on the rapid detection of viruses, 3D printing, capacitors, etc.
Andrei Ivanets shared information concerning the work of the Young Scientists Council of the NAS of Belarus and measures to support young specialists. He also told about the major scientific and public events that were held with the participation of the Young Scientists Council.
The NASB representatives also briefed the journalists on the program of celebrations dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, which will be held on November 15-16, 2018.
