An open lecture "Virus fusion and entry inhibitors against HIV and coronavirus" by Professor Shibo Jiang, Fudan University (Shanghai, China), will take place in the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Minsk, 6 Surhanhva Street, room 206) on 13 May at 15:00.

Professor Shibo Jiang is a world-renowned expert in the development of antiviral drugs and vaccines. He discovered the first effective anti-HIV peptide, and his patent was licensed to create the first peptide HIV inhibitor fuzeon (enfuvertid or T20) approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which is widely used in clinical practice for the treatment of HIV infection. He developed the first anti-HPV therapeutic drug, the JB01 protein.
