The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is the highest state scientific organization of the Republic of Belarus, organizing and coordinating fundamental and applied scientific research carried out by all subjects of scientific activity, conducting fundamental and applied scientific research and development, organizing and providing technical support for conducting state scientific expertise, acting as the head organizations of the republic for the scientific and methodological support of the development of informatization, and also performs, within the powers established by legislative acts and this Charter, the individual functions of the republican body of state administration.
The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus directs its scientific and technical potential to solve the most important national problems within the framework of state priorities of scientific and technical activities.
