On January 29, 2021, in the NASB held a republican congress of the scientific community dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science.
The best scientist and researchers were presented with awards by the country’s top officials, heads of ministries on departments. From the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were awarded the laureate of the title “Scientist of the Year of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus – 2020”, head of the department “Institute of Chemistry of new materials”, Doctor of chemical sciences, Professor, Academician Vladimir Agabekov and the author team, whose works were included in the top 10 achievements of academic scientists in the field of fundamental and applied research in 2020.
The congratulation of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to scientists, staff of research institutions and institutions of higher educations was read by the deputy head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus Dzmitry Krutoy. The congratulation of the Prime Minister of the of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko on the Day of Belarusian Science was read by the deputy Prime Minister t of the Republic of Belarus Yury Nazarov. The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipopotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Mazantsev, the head of Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Guchok, heads of ministries on departments, leading scientist in the state, representatives of the scientific community.
On January 29, 2021, a large -scale exhibition of achievements and the most significant results of scientific, technical and innovative activities of the Republic of Belarus was organized in the building of the Presidium of the NASB. Scientists and researchers of the country presented about 400 new innovative and scientific developments.
The celebrations dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science continued on February 1, 2021, when awards were presented to the laureates of a number of the NASB competitions.
