On August 19, 2021, at the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus a press conference “Intellectual Belarus. Modern ecosystem of innovations (according to the Program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2021-2025”).

The event from the NAS of Belarus was attended by: Andrey Ivanets – Chief Scientific Secretary of the NAS of Belarus, Doctor of Chemical Sciences; Valery Goncharov – Director of the SSI “Center for System Analysis and Strategic Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus”, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Alexander Gotovsky – Deputy Director for Research, SSI “Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus”, Candidate of Economic Sciences. They spoke in detail about the modern infrastructure of scientific, technical and innovation activities, about complex “projects of the future”, about financing scientific, technical and innovation activities, etc. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the results of Scientific activities in the country’s economy.

As the Chief Scientific Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences Andrey Ivanets noted, speaking at the press conference, “More than 470 developments of scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus are being implemented in 2021. This is a very wide range of developments, and we assume that the output of them will be at least $ 700 million this year, - said Andrey Ivanets. – In particular, about 30 developments are being introduced in the area of biotechnological production this year. The total volume of production, which we plan to complete in 2021, is more than $ 4.5 million. Development (about $ 1.5 billion) in pharmaceutical and medicine – more than 40 developments, which are planned to be completed in part of this year. The total volume of production is expected about $5 million”.
