2021 is the year of celebration of the 145th anniversary of the birth of Ciotka (Aloiza Pashkevich) and the 150th anniversary of the birth of Lesya Ukrainka (Larisa Kosach-Kvitka). Belarusians and Ukrainians are closely linked by a common history, which can be seen from the example of the fate and work of two poetesses.

For two anniversaries at once in the Publishing House "Zvyazda" the world saw the book " Winged by Native Words ", published in Belarusian and Ukrainian languages, where under one cover Ciotka's poems translated into Ukrainian and Lesya Ukrainka's poems translated into Belarusian. The book also includes biographical materials about two spiritual sisters - great women, talented poetesses, real fighters for the best life of ordinary people.

On the pages of the book, two great talents have united: Aloiza Pashkevich, who was supported in her creative aspirations by Lviv and all of Ukraine, and Lesya Ukrainka, who is connected with Minsk and Belarus through the fate of the revolutionary Sergei Merzhinsky and the translations of her works into Belarusian.

Among the authors of the book are professor of the Volyn National University named after Lesya Ukrainka Yuri Gromik, professor, doctor of philological sciences, laureate of the I. Franko International Literary Prize Vyacheslav Ragoysh (Belarus), director of the only museum in the republic of Aloiza Pashkevich (Ciotka) Alla Baloban, and others. The collection contains the statements of Belarusian and Ukrainian writers (Lina Kostenko, Oksana Zabuzhko, Ivan Drach, Anatoly Klyshko), historians (Mitrofan Dovnar-Zapolsky, Mikola Ermolovich). The book is richly illustrated with photographs.

ГThe guests of the event will also be presented with an exhibition of the same name dedicated to the creative heritage of Aunt and Lesia Ukrainka. Within the framework of one exhibition, there will be an opportunity to get acquainted with both the earliest editions of the works of famous writers, and with modern reprints, which are stored in the funds of the Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The exhibits include translations of some of the works of Aunt and Lesia Ukrainka into other languages, as well as literature about their life and work on the study of creativity.
