On February 4, 2022, at 15:00, the NASB will host a republican meeting of the scientific community dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science. This year it is a triple holiday.

100 years ago, in January 1922, the Institute of Belarusian Culture (Inbelkult) was founded - the first state scientific institution of Belarus in its modern history, on the basis of which the Belarusian Academy of Sciences was established. It was Inbelkult that opened the people with its language, history, economy, the country with its unique nature and original culture to the Belarusians and the whole world. Therefore, on the Day of Belarusian Science this year, we are simultaneously celebrating the 100th anniversary of Belarusian academic science and the anniversary of Inbelkult.

The event will be attended by over 300 representatives of academic, university and industry science, young scientists, heads of ministries and departments, higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus, representatives of the diplomatic corps. The best scientists and researchers of the country will receive awards. From the NASB will be awarded: laureate of the title "Scientist of the Year of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus - 2021", General Director of the State Scientific and Production Association of Powder Metallurgy to Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician Alexander Fedorovich Ilyushchenko, as well as teams of authors whose works were included in the TOP - 10 achievements of academic scientists in the field of fundamental and applied research in 2021.

On February 4, from 10.00 at three sites (an open area in front of the Presidium building, the foyer of the 1st and 2nd floors and the permanent exhibition of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus "Achievements of National Science for Production" - the right wing of the first floor) an exhibition of achievements and the most significant results of scientific, technical and innovative activities of the Republic of Belarus. Organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, the State Committee for Military Industry, innovative enterprises and technology parks will show their results at the exhibition. The main purpose of the large-scale exposition is to demonstrate the results of scientific research and development of Belarusian science, the effectiveness of the implementation of state programs in the field of scientific, scientific, technical and innovative activities and the ongoing work to strengthen the connection between science and production.
