Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will take part in the International Scientific Conference «Fedorov Readings – 2022», dedicated to the 295th anniversary of the Academic Printing House in Russia.

The event will take place on the basis of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science «Scientific and Publishing Center «Nauka» of the Russian Academy of Sciences» (Moscow, Nakhimovsky Prospekt, 47). Scientists from Belarus, Russia and France will take part in the forum. The organizers of the major international scientific event are the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science «Scientific and Publishing Center Nauka» of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The conference will be held under the auspices of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS) and its Scientific Council for Book Culture, Book Publishing and Libraries.

At the Plenary session and three sections, a number of issues will be considered, including: the history of the Slavic Cyrillic printing, the activities and heritage of the first printers, the book culture of the 16th-18th centuries, encyclopedia and biography as a means of preserving historical memory in the context of the development of book culture. Presentations will be made by the scientists representing the well-known scientific institutions: State Institution «Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus»; Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts; Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science «Scientific and Publishing Center «Nauka» of the Russian Academy of Sciences»; Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science «Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences»; of Science «Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences»; Federal State Budgetary Institution «State Academic University for the Humanities»; Laboratory of Scorina studies and the valorization of the studies of the history and culture of Belarus (France), etc.

Fedorov's Readings is one of the oldest conferences, founded in 1933 and bringing together many famous scientists to discuss issues of the book science and related fields. After a significant break since 2013, it was decided to revive the scientific forum.
