There are not so many archaeologists in Belarus. But it is thanks to their findings that many discoveries have been made. Scientists spoke about the latest unique findings. So, Belarusian archaeologists found a personal family sign of the Polotsk prince Izyaslav on a fragment of dishes during excavations at Menka. Head of the Department of Archeology of the Middle Ages and Modern Times of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Andrei Voitekhovich with a team of volunteers discovered there a unique, so far the first and only fragment of dishes in the country – a flat bottom, on which the personal family sign of Prince Izyaslav, the son of Vladimir and Rogneda, was preserved.
