On September 10, 2022 (Saturday), the Science Festival 2022 will be held at the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences from 11:00 to 18:00.

The Science Festival is the largest popular science event in Belarus. This year the festival has grown, it has changed in appearance and content, we have something to surprise visitors of all ages.

For the first time, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will present the exhibition «100 Innovations of Young Scientists» with youth projects in such areas as biology and biotechnology, physics, chemistry, medicine, agriculture and the humanities.

The traditional guest of our festival will be the All-Russian Festival Science 0+, which will present a platform dedicated to the Year of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation.

Together with the «Goal 99» initiative, the Science Festival launched a contest of creative works from recycled materials «Human Figure». The final stage of the competition will be an exhibition of works and awarding the winners at the site of the Science Festival.

The organizers have prepared three large thematic areas: «Man», «Nature», «Technology», each of the sites includes lectures, master classes and demonstrations.

On the «Man» platform, it will be possible to understand what a person is, how he works from the point of view of biology and the humanities, how to extend and improve his life with the help of medicine. We will not bypass the acute problems of COVID and vaccine development.

Everything that surrounds us – from microorganisms on our hands to deep space, as well as how various sciences study nature, and how a person affects the planet – can be found on the «Nature» site. Guests will be able to work with the microscope themselves, understand the «smell of microbiology», see what the most common bacteria that live on money, the table and in the restroom look like.

At the Technology site, visitors will learn about IT and other technologies that are changing the world, listen to exciting lectures about robots, drive various models of electric scooters and try themselves in a simulator for training unmanned aerial vehicle operators.

At the «University of the Future» site, the Ministry of Education will tell the visitors of the event about the achievements of science and new specialties in the country's leading universities.

The 21vek.by online hypermarket will present a platform dedicated to space with thematic activities and a photo zone.

Competitions in educational robotics will be held right at the site of the Science Festival. Participants will create robots that overcome obstacles, fight each other in the ring, play the role of a gardener or a lifeguard.

An incredibly rich program awaits guests at the joint venue of the Science Festival and the Atomic Energy Information Center with the support of ASE Rosatom. Large-scale experiments that cannot be repeated at home will be held at the Atom team site, the Brain Evolution engineering games tournament and popular science lectures from famous science popularizers will be held.

More than 7,000 people attended the first festival, more than 10,000 – the second.
