On September 11, 2022, the public association «Belarusian Kettlebell Lifting Federation» in cooperation with the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the state educational institution «University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus» on the basis of the Center for Physical Education of the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will hold the Open Championship of Minsk in kettlebell lifting among men and women.

Athletes will compete in the discipline of biathlon, which involves the performance of two exercises: clean and jerk and snatch of kettlebells with a time limit of 10 minutes for each exercise. Men will compete among themselves with weights of 32 or 24 kg each. Women will compete with 16 kg kettlebells.

The best athletes of the city of Minsk, who represent sports teams of the following organizations, take part in the competitions: Belarusian State University, Civil Protection University of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus, Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, sports club Minsk Tractor Plant, sports club of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, as well as invited athletes from the cities of Grodno, Vitebsk and Bobruisk.
