On February 5, 2023 at 14:00 in the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus within the framework of the project of the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus The Science of Art and the Art of Science will be held the opening of a series of lectures by senior researcher of the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Irina Dubyanetskaya on the topic Ethnophilosophy and Belarusian Cultural Codes. The series of lectures will focus on the Belarusian traditional view of the world, its inner meanings and connections, a new science – ethnophilosophy, which explores, (re)constructs and interprets them.
Belarusian ethnophilosophy works with the traditional worldview of Belarusians reflected in numerous folklore records, explores multilevel systems of connections of various elements of national culture, examines the Belarusian world order in its internal logic, integrity and multidimensionality, and also reveals the organic connection of Belarusian and other cultural traditions. Modern ethnophilosophical studies systematize the elements of the Belarusian worldview corresponding to various spheres of life and thinking of traditional society, dividing them into several stable themes.
The first lecture in the series is devoted to the topic The Traditional Worldview of Belarusians and Ethnophilosophy as a Self-Reflection of Belarusian Culture.
