On April 22, 2023, the leadership and staff of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus took part in the republican volunteer clean-up action.

The leadership of the Academy of Sciences, representatives of the Presidium, institutes and scientific and practical centers of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, headed by Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov, worked in the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus: they laid the "Oriental Garden", where plants of the Far Eastern flora will be, landscaped the territory, cleaned dry foliage. Order has also been restored on the territory of the Presidium. Within the framework of the republican volunteer clean-up action, a complex of works will be carried out to improve the territory of the archaeological complex on the Mienka River in the village of Garadzishcha, Minsk district. Scientists from all institutes and organizations of the Department of Humanities and Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus took part in the work. A whole complex of works was carried out: a new security sign was installed: "Archaeological complex on the Mienka River. Historical and cultural site of the 2nd category", the Vseslav Enchanter spring has been landscaped, paths from the village to the settlement have been arranged, etc.

Volunteer clean-up actions were held in all organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Working collectives actively put things in order at workplaces and the surrounding area, planted courtyards and improved historical and cultural objects.

This year, half of the money earned on the day of the clean-up, including at workplaces, will be sent to the Gomel Regional Executive Committee for the reconstruction of the memorial complex to the prisoners of the Azarychy death camp (Kalinkavichy district). Another 50% will be transferred to the Brest Regional Executive Committee for the creation of a republican center for patriotic education of youth on the basis of the Kobrin fortification of the Brest fortress.
