At MILEX-2023, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus presents about 80 developments and technologies

About 80 developments and technologies are presented at the XI International Exhibition of Armaments and Military Equipment MILEX-2023. The opening ceremony was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Chizhik.

At the stand of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, 10 scientific organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus present their best developments. Thus, the Research and Production Center for Multifunctional Unmanned Systems of the NAS of Belarus demonstrates a whole line of unmanned aerial vehicles. Among them is a life-size Busel MKR unmanned aerial vehicle. Purpose: video monitoring of terrain and objects, tracking of mobile objects from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and transmitting the received video information via radio channel to a ground control point and other remote consumers in real time. Visitors of the exhibition can also get acquainted with the simulator for training UAV operators. The simulator is used for in-depth training of UAV operators on the principles of using an unmanned aircraft complex (UAC), as well as for quality control of training of UAV operators without the use of standard facilities of the complex.

Experimental and Production Republican Unitary Enterprise Ferrit of the NAS of Belarus presents a ferrite radio-absorbing panel PF-500-2. This development refers to a unique protection technology based on scientific developments of the NAS of Belarus. The created radio-absorbing material and panels based on it of a special design provide effective absorption of electro-magnetic waves in a wide spectrum (10–250 MHz), and also provide expanded opportunities for installation and arrangement of matching premises. The product is import-substituting and is made entirely from raw materials of Belarusian production at the production facilities of Unitary Enterprise Ferrit. The development is unique for the Republic of Belarus and has no analogues in its properties and price characteristics.

Institute of Physics named after B.I. Stepanov of the NAS of Belarus shows solid-state erbium lasers with diode pumping, emitting in a conditionally safe spectral range for the eyes. The development is intended for use in modern rangefinder complexes and target designation systems operated in a wide temperature range and subject to shock and vibration loads.

The XI International Exhibition of Weapons and Military Equipment MILEX-2023 is held in Minsk from May 17 to May 20. The main objectives of the exhibition are a wide presentation of the products of the Belarusian defense industry, familiarization with new developments in the field of high technologies, demonstration of the capabilities of enterprises engaged in modernization, repair of military equipment and providing services to the Armed Forces.
