A meeting of the Joint Russian-Belarusian Working Group on the preparation of proposals on the list of promising programs of the Union State for the development of cooperation between enterprises of the State Corporation Roscosmos and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (hereinafter — NAS of Belarus) was held at the NAS of Belarus.
The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Department of Aerospace Activities of the Apparatus of the NAS of Belarus Pyotr A. Vityaz and Executive Director for Strategic Planning, Director of the Strategic Planning Department of the State Corporation Roscosmos Yuri N. Makarov, with the participation of Deputy Secretary of State, member of the Standing Committee of the Union State Alexey A. Kubrin and Head of the Department of Defense Industry and Military-Technical Cooperation of the Standing Committee of the Union State of the Sergei N. Trus.
During the meeting, the current state and organizational aspects of the implementation of the scientific and technical programs of the Union State Complex-US and Integration-US were considered, as well as coordination of joint proposals for new programs Development of Basic Elements of Systems for Forecasting the Forest Fires Occurrence, Identification of Their Foci, Determination of Propagation Trends, Damage Assessments Based on Data From Forest Management and Space Monitoring Using Advanced Target Equipment of Earth Remote Sensing Spacecraft (Spacewatch-US) and Development of Elements of On-board Facilities and Equipment, Composite Materials and Structures For Increasing The Service Life and Design Perfection of Advanced Space Facilities, Including for Deep Space Exploration (Resource-US), issues of the formation of promising programs in the field of materials and coatings, as well as basic production processes that ensure the integrated development of rocket and space technology, standardization of space technology, monitoring of near-Earth space using radar equipment, etc.
Following the results of the meeting, a protocol was prepared and sent for approval to the Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Vladimir G. Gusakov and the Director General of the State Corporation Roskomos Yuri I. Borisov.
