On May 22–26, 2023, the 10th Anniversary International Scientific Conference Actual Problems of Solid State Physics APSSP-2023 is being held in the Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Materials Science in a hybrid format.

413 scientists take part in it (211 in person, 202 online) from 14 countries of the world. As Valeri Fedosyuk, Director General of the Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Materials Science, noted at the forum, the conference is an anniversary and is timed to the 60th anniversary of the Institute of Solid State Physics and Semiconductors of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR, as well as to the 110th anniversary of the birth of its founder, Academician Nikolai N. Sirota. "Our institute is determined by the parent organization in the Scientific and Practical Center for a reason. 14 scientific structural divisions account for 12 production sites and pilot production, which emphasizes the practical orientation of the research conducted at the Scientific and Practical Center. Out of 165 employees of our institute, 11 are doctors of sciences and more than 50 are candidates of sciences. Postgraduate and doctoral studies are available for the training of highly qualified scientific personnel. We are the foremost in the field of materials research. This is confirmed by a significant number of prizes and awards, which are awarded annually to our employees. This is confirmed by the undisputed leadership in the number of highly rated publications and the number of citations (per researcher). This is also confirmed by numerous press reports and repeated entries on the honor board of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Republican Honor Board," Valeri Fedosyuk said.
