On May 26, 2023 (Friday), a joint meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Russian Academy of Sciences will be held at 11.00 (Niezaliezhnasci, 66) in the NAS of Belarus.

To participate in the event, a representative delegation of the leadership of the Russian Academy of Sciences and well-known scientists of the Russian Federation, headed by the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician Gennady Y. Krasnikov, will arrive in Minsk. This is his first visit as the new head of the Russian Academy of Sciences after the elections held in September 2022. It is planned that the State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry F. Mezentsev and the President of the Kurchatov Institute Mikhail V. Kovalchuk will take part in the event.

The participants of the joint meeting of the Presidium of the RAS and the NAS of Belarus will consider a number of important issues. Among them there are the most important results of the work of the RAS and the NAS of Belarus on the results of 2021–2022; the implementation progress of programs of the Union State with the participation of organizations of the RAS and the NAS of Belarus and promising projects of programs, the strategy of scientific and technological development of the Union State, etc.
