Academic Secretary of the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexander Shumilin made a report at the XXI International Likhachev Scientific Readings On The Increasing Role of Intellectual Property in The Development of The Economy and The State.

The International Likhachev Scientific Readings are the world's largest annual scientific forum of humanitarian knowledge. The theme of 2023 is Dialogues and Conflicts of Cultures in a Changing World. Readings are held at the St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions on the initiative of Academician Dmitry S. Likhachev (since 1993) and by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin No. 587 of 23.05.2001. The Forum gathers over 1,500 people annually. This year's participants include scientists from 11 countries from Belarus to Australia, etc., 8 members of the RAS, heads of major research institutes, the leadership of the Federation Council and the State Duma of Russia, representatives of trade unions, over 100 doctors of sciences, professors representing 18 regions of Russia, public and political figures.
