As a follow-up to the agreements reached during the visit of the Belarusian delegation of government bodies to New Delhi in November 2022 (First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Sergei A. Chizhik participated on behalf of the NAS of Belarus), a delegation of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of India visited the NAS of Belarus from May 20 to 23, 2023 headed by the Director General of CSIR, Secretary of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of India, Dr. Nallathamby Kalaiselvi.
The delegation included the directors of CSIR organizations and the Chairman of the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC).

On May 22, the delegation met with Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir G. Gusakov, during which promising areas and mechanisms for the development of cooperation were discussed, a Memorandum on cooperation in the field of science and technology was signed between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and CSIR and further steps for its implementation were determined. During the visit to the organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the discussion of project proposals in the field of biomedical, chemical, physical and technical sciences took place. These proposals were prepared based on the results of the past 4 joint seminars with the participation of the NAS of Belarus and CSIR organizations (January – March 2023). Next, a detailed review will take place of the conditions for the implementation of the above projects at the performers’ level.
